[ARCHIVED] Albany County announces funding for Mullen Fire Recovery

Albany County has been awarded post-fire funding which will assist property owners affected by the Mullen Fire. The Mullen Fire began on September 17th, 2020, which destroyed 66 structures and burned 176,878 acres. The Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) authorized these funds to assist with firefighting costs on September 26th, 2020. After firefighting operations were completed, funding was then applied for by Albany County to assist property owners with recovery efforts. These funds will be used to reduce hazards left by the Mullen Fire on private property.
